During heat treatment, wood acquires several valuable properties:
• Wood becomes more stable, durable, wear-resistant and deforms minimally.
• The weight of the wood decreases, the wood becomes light and easier to handle.
• The moisture content of the wood decreases and the thermal conductivity decreases, thanks to which it is particularly suitable for hot and humid rooms.
• Heat-treated wood acquires a beautiful brown color and emphasizes the texture. Depending on the degree of processing and the type of wood, the tone can be darker or lighter.
